Battalion Parade and Service 2009
Once again, very many thanks to those Officers on the Reserve and other Friends who acted as Stewards at the Service at the Albert Hall on 4th October 2009. It is a very pressured job when hundreds of young people and parents descend within a few minutes and we are most grateful to the Stewards for the way they handle this. Thanks also to the Honorary Presidents and Vice-Presidents who escorted our Civic guests throughout the afternoon – I thought this year this was particularly well done and appreciated that you stayed with our guests throughout making sure they also had refreshments.
Unfortunately at our de-brief a Steward did have cause to complain about the lack of co-operation from one former lady Officer. It is stated in Parade Orders that the Stewards are there to help and it is unfortunate when adults set a bad example.

Battalion Gold DofE Expeditions
The dates for this years Gold DofE expeditions are:
April 2010 - 1 day accompanied training walk
8 - 9 May - 2 day part accompanied training expedition
9 to 11 July - 3 day Practice journey
2 to 5 Sept - 4 day Qualifying journey
This will be supplemented by a series of indoor training sessions and further training walks if necessary.
